The John Shillito Select Six
John Shillito's Select Six is an "occasional band" assembled for special occasions and festivals and is
making a welcome return to Morwellham Quay.
John Shillito needs little introduction to audiences in the South West. His outstanding and perfectly
delivered trumpet style is based on the late Henry Red Allen, and his vocals are full of expression and
feeling.
Joining him in the talented front line of the Select Six are John Wurr, on clarinet and alto sax, who is
amongst the most articulate and distinctive reedman around, and Bobby Fox's attacking and inspirational
trombone style makes him instantly recognisable.
The swinging rhythm section includes John Whitlock on banjo and guitar, Bob Jarvis on electric bass and a guest drummer

The Atlantic View Trio

If the swing music of Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and Jamie Cullum is your thing, then
you will love the sound of the Atlantic View Trio.  This dynamic and versatile outfit feature the best from the Jazz Standards Songbook along with the occasional modern jazz tune to test their capabilities!

The amazing footwork of Roger on bass pedals and his smooth sounding vocals along with John's multi instrumentalist talent, gives this trio the full sound of a quintet. Barrie complements the line up with his solid drumming and percussion.
The trio comprises Roger Miners on piano, bass pedals and vocals, John Woolams on tenor and soprano saxes, flute and clarinet and Barrie Nichollson drums and percussion.

The Harry S. Fulcher Sextet
Harry S Fulcher puts the Sextet together to play straight-ahead jazz with his favourite players: it's
as simple as that!

Harry is a classically trained musician and has played jazz and rock music since he was young. He works regulariy with his own jazz groups, and is also a member of other bands playing free/modern jazz, salsa/latin, funk/fusion,orchestral and R&B.
Whilst playing mainly tenor saxophone, he is also an accomplished musician on clarinetand piano.

The Sextet is a great meeting of sympathetic spirits, all mutual fans of each other. The burning front line of Harry S. Fulcher (reeds). Ken Church (vibes), Dhevdhas Nair (piano) and Neil Burns (guitar) get a fire lit under them by Marcus Vergette on double bass and drummer Dave Sheen.
