Club GDPR & Privacy Statement
Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which came into force from 25th May, 2018, the Club has to select a legal basis
(of which there are six listed by the Information Commissioner’s Office) for holding and processing information about our members. We have
chosen as appropriate “Legitimate Interest”. We believe it is in the best interest of the Club and members that a computer database provides
for the efficient administration of the Club and a means of keeping members informed of all activities of the Club.
The data held is the minimum needed to administer the Club and to provide contact lists for sending out information about club activities by post or e-mail.
These contact details are held solely for the use of the Club and will never be disclosed to other Club members or any other organization.
The optional data can be deleted at any time by contacting the Membership Secretary. All of a member’s data will be removed within 3 months of resignation
or lapsing.
We would like to send information by e-mail rather than post in order to reduce the Club's expenses. Anyone opting in to this service may opt out again by
replying to an e-mail.
